14 Weeks Pregnant

With my nausea completely gone, new symptoms have made their appearance.

Cramps: I have been having cramps like crazy. Usually these come at night and I curl up in a ball and try to sleep through them. It is a little nerve racking wondering if it is the start of another miscarriage, but I quickly remind myself that I had some awful cramps with Lincoln too. Cramps are extremely normal and common because as the uterus stretches to fit growing baby it can cause some pain.

Weird Dreams: My dreams seem to get weirder and weirder. The other night I dreamt that my grandma was having a baby and my grandpa wanted the entire family to be there for the birth. After I woke up, it took a few minutes to reassure myself that my eighty-year old grandma was in fact not pregnant and therefore I wouldn’t have to watch her have a baby. Still freaks me out thinking about it.

Bloody Noses: This is something I have gotten every pregnancy from the very beginning from all the extra blood. Lincoln saw me get a bloody nose the other day and started dry heaving. He apparently will not be a future doctor.

Weight Gain: I have gained two more pounds this past week. Making my grand total 15lbs. It is quite a bit for how far along I am, but I am trying to be positive about the weight gain and not focus too much on the number. With Lincoln I didn’t gain a pound until I was 20 weeks along. I am sure with the extra energy I have to exercise again it will start to slow down. I try to remind myself that I was at an unhealthy weight when I got pregnant, so my body put on the necessary weight for a healthy pregnant. At least that is what I tell myself.

Although my baby is no 15 pound watermelon, it is the size of a lemon!

Here I am at 14 weeks and Lincoln copying me.
